Ovaj post nastavlja se direktno na dva ranija: ‘A Memory of Light‘ i ‘A Memory of Light ipak u tri djela‘
Poprilično bajata vijest (13.8.08.), no svejedno vrijedna spomena. Universal pictures je otkupio prava za ekranizaciju Wheel of Time serijala. NBC je imao prava za snimanje serije po predlošku, nije mi jasno ima li ta prava još uvijek, trebam ovo malo detaljnije istražit. To što neko ima prava za snimanje, ne mora značiti da će od filma ili serije nešto doista i biti, no ukoliko bude, snimat će ih Universal pictures / NBC.
Druga grupa novosti je dosta svježija. Naime, ovih dana održan je prvi JordanCon, konvencija posvećena Robertu Jordanu i njegovim djelima. Na konvenciji su bili Harriet McDougal, supruga pokojnog autora i njegov urednik, Brandon Sanderson, pisac koji nastavlja gdje je Jordan stao, i Tom Doherty, šef Tor izdavačke kuće pod čijom je patronažom Wheel of Time serijal. Potvrđeno je da će A Memory of Light biti podijeljen na tri knjige, od kojih će se prva zvati A Gathering Storm. Radni naslov druge je Swirling Winds, dok će se treća zvati Tarmon Ga’Idon ili A Memory of Light.
Svaki nastavak će biti knjiga za sebe, dakle, imat će svoj skup poglavlja, svoj prolog i epilog, i prvo poglavlje počinjat će im sa “The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and pass….”. Daryl K. Sweet, umjetnik koji je ilustrirao korice svih 13 dosad izdanih Wheel of Time knjiga, ilustrirat će i naredne tri.
Međutim, najbolje vijesti čuvao sam za kraj. Brandon Sanderson je juče tweetao kako je završio sa ispravkama teksta A Gathering Storm po primjedbama urednika i kako je prva knjiga manje-više gotova.
